ITS YOUR LIST CITIZEN, IT'S NOT UP TO SCRATCH.
So it seems the list I posted yesterday isn't good enough, so a few adjustments, as I have very little else to post about as my time has been taken up painting and creating a website.
Right this much of the list is all good;
Captain Kayvaan Shrike - 195
Dreadnought + Heavy flamer + Multimelta + Droppod - 150
Dreadnought + Heavy flamer + Multimelta + Droppod - 150
Tactical Squad (10 men) + Multimelta + Meltagun + Powerfist + Droppod - 230

Tactical Squad (10 men) + Multimelta + Meltagun + Powerfist + Droppod - 230
Assault Squad (10 men) + Flamer x 2 + Power Fist - 225

Tactical Squad (10 men) + Multimelta + Meltagun + Powerfist + Droppod - 230
Assault Squad (10 men) + Flamer x 2 + Power Fist - 225
and leaves us with 340pt.
So what can we buy for this 340? Well we've used 1 HQ slot, 3 Troops slots, 2 Elites slots and 1 Fast Attack slot.
Another Droppod dread would fit nicely and give a first wave of three multimelta dreads, though I know snaz has a spare iron clad, which would work better.
Iron Clad - 135
Heavy Flamer - 10
Droppod - 35

so for 180 e little more expensive but armour 13 in combat makes a big difference.
Right we're now out of Elites slots with 160 not the best amount of points. To stay in theme I'd be tempted by a scout squad but for effective impact we'll go with a landspeeders.
2 of these babies properly equipped (heavy flamer multi melta) cost are going to us 140
This gives your 20 points for all those extra gubbins we all love to stick in.
Whole list reads as;

Purely out of interest what does Shrike bring to this list?
ReplyDeleteYour Drop Pods are presumably going to be put where you want them so what advantage is gained by having Fleet?
Yeah be done with it and take Vulkan i would. It just fits. Doesn't have to be 'salamanders' though.
ReplyDeletelol i know but he said he didn't want salies shrike is the one fluff point left :P well no but i suppose he could always be swapped for shadow captain burny my stealth spear of the 4th company
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't seem like a bad list from a tactical standpoint, but it doesn't seem very Raven Guardy to me.
ReplyDeleteits not overly i mean drop pods are but its much more a vulkan list as the guys said... should work for snaz though.
ReplyDeleteI suppose he'll be okay as long as he doesn't play against an Imperial Guard gun-line with any 'bubblewrap', Dual lash, any horde army, any army that can manipulate reserves, cavalry Daemons, Razorspam, Grey Knight armies with Strike Squads, etc.....
ReplyDeleteDrop Pod armies were brilliant for about three months till people learned how to counter them.....now, however.....
I'm only going with what he had to paint :P
ReplyDeleteI'm going to be this picky with all of you next time :P
@ Citizenwilliams - One of the downsides to blogging is you rapidly realise that not as many people agree with you as you might like, lol.
